Biography

Hello! My name is Sheila Crawford. I am the newest member of the City Council. I was born and raised her in Buffalo, along with my wonderful husband Dave. We have been married for 26 years, we started dating in high school, 34 years ago. We have two grown daughters, Allison and Emily, along with a pup named Luna, and two kitties Starla and Nova. Most of my career has been spent in the banking industry. I worked in customer service for over 14 years at a bank in Buffalo. I am currently working at a bank in Monticello as a commercial loan assistant/Universal Banker. I attend the new Riverside Church in Buffalo. My parents Buffalo Bob and Mary Lou Mobley moved to Buffalo after they married back in 1968. I have two sisters and a brother – Charlene, Andrea and Allan. All three of them had moved out of Buffalo at one point in time, but they eventually came back home to Buffalo. My in laws are Russ and Denice Crawford, Russ is a lifelong resident of Buffalo.

I guess you could say that I am following in my dad’s footsteps. He was on the council for about16 years. He gave it up his seat when he started spending his winters in Mazatlán. His knowledge will help me be the best that I can be while I am serving on the council. I previously served for about 10 years on the Park Board, so I am familiar with some of the people within the city and how things work. I was excited that during my first meeting I was able to vote for the Veteran Park to move to a new location, something I had been looking to improve for many years. I look forward to serving this great community! Buffalo, a city that I love, and have always called home!
