Biography
I served for three years on the City of Buffalo Planning Commission and was Chair at the time of an abrupt vacancy on the City Council. I applied for, interviewed, and was selected as a member in June of 2023 to fill that vacancy. It has been an extreme honor to serve the city in both roles. My City Council term will expire at the end of 2028.
I have been a part of Buffalo and its residents since 2004. I’ve been married to my wife Lyn for 17 years who has lived here since 1991. Lyn is a former music teacher, has substituted extensively and has taught hundreds of students, many of whom are now adults with their own children living in the community. I started as a construction laborer in 1972, worked as a carpenter, machinist, and business owner, went to college to become an architect in 1982, and moved to Minnesota from my home state of Montana in 1988.
My journey to serving on the City Council is driven by a desire to give back. I love our city and am committed to making the Buffalo community one that we are proud to be a part of. I am not a politician; I am a person of common sense. I am fiscally conservative, and socially responsible. I believe that everyone who is able bodied should work and pay their way. I believe that the city should provide the best in terms of fiscal responsibility, utilities, roads, development, protection from crime and transparency.
