Street Sweeping

The City Street Department sweeps City streets on a consistent schedule and are swept by a vacuum type street sweeper.

The City starts street sweeping in early spring to remove the sand and debris from the winter and continues through the summer as needed. 

In the fall, the street sweepers are out in full force when the leaves are noticeably starting to fall to the ground.  Sweeping the leaves and yard debris prevents them from polluting the  storm sewer system or clogging up the road ways.
