Public Data Requests
The Minnesota Government Data Practices Act (MGDPA), Minn. Stat. § 13, is a state law that controls how government data are collected, created, stored, used and released. The MGDPA sets out certain requirements relating to the right of the public to access government data and the rights of individuals who are the subjects of government data.
Where to Find / Request Information
Many public records are available through the City's website, including the City Code, agenda packets and minutes as well as budget documents. Information not found on the website can be requested through the City's NextRequest portal.
Copies of Records
Copy costs are authorized under Minnesota Statues, Section 13.03, Subd. 3(c). The City does not charge for copies if the cost is less than $10.
