Water Consumption
Earlier this week, the Buffalo community surpassed the summer daily average of water consumption by using 3,035,000 gallons in one day. The community of Buffalo’s average water consumption, September through April is 1,400,000 gallons per day. During the summer months May to September the average jumps to 2,700,000 gallons per day.
The last two summers have been very dry, with drought conditions and this summer appears to be headed in a similar direction. We have received a notice from the Department of Natural Resources to closely monitor our water resources.
