Those driving on Hwy. 25 near Buffalo may have noticed signs up stating that the section of Hwy. 25 at the intersection of CSAH 83 north of Buffalo will close effective Thursday, Aug. 15. While these aren’t always hard-and-fast dates, it’s being put out as a warning to drivers that the closure is coming.
The first phase of the project will be closing CSAH 83 at the intersection starting Monday, Aug. 5. Those looking to access the County Government Campus will need to take the detour routes that will be posted. Hwy. 25 will remain open during the first phase, but will be shut down at the intersection with CSAH 83 for what is expected to be four to six weeks to complete the project. Homes and businesses will be accessible but will be required to use the detour route if it is on the opposite side of where the closure is.
