Hydrant Flushing Update for Friday, October 14, 2022.
Hydrant flushing is complete except for the Buffalo Manor neighborhood. The Water Department will be continuing hydrant maintenance to prepare for winter. If you are experiencing any water discoloration or have questions regarding hydrant flushing, please contact the City of Buffalo Water Department at 763.684.5432.
The Buffalo Manor neighborhood is scheduled to be flushed October 27th, noon to 4pm.

Please keep in mind that not every hydrant is flushed in every area each cycle. The City of Buffalo has 1062 public hydrants within city limits.
What to Expect
A progress map will be published on a daily basis until the flushing is complete. Hydrant flushing (PDF) is done in the spring and fall to ensure that hydrants are in working order for fire protection and to remove mineral deposits that may accumulate in the water distribution system.
