As drought conditions continue and deepen in parts of the state, the Minnesota DNR is carefully monitoring the situation and taking steps outlined in the Minnesota Statewide Drought Plan (PDF).

Message to Our Residents
The City of Buffalo, along with all cities in the State of Minnesota must follow rules set by the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources during drought conditions. This summer Buffalo and all of Wright County are experiencing moderate drought conditions. The Buffalo Water Department would like to thank all the residents of Buffalo for their efforts in conserving our community’s water resource. Through community conservation, we are observing a slowing in the drop of our aquifer. All acts of conservation and growing awareness are appreciated!
