My name is Nick O’Rourke. I grew up and attended school in Delano and moved to Buffalo as soon as I became an adult. I joined the Army in September of 2001 in response to the 9/11 attacks. After serving 2 campaigns in Iraq with the 82nd Airborne Division, I resettled back home in Buffalo. Here I worked in electrical and low voltage construction for various businesses and eventually my own business.
In 2016, I decided to leave my career to dedicate my life to community service. I gave my business to my little brother and went back to school. There, I studied an array of health and social sciences. Currently, I attend St. Cloud State in pursuit of working in child protection. I love spending time with my wife Amanda, our 4 children, and a Saint Bernard named Josh.
There has always been an interest in participating in local office. With my career change, I feel as though I now have the opportunity to give this City Council seat my all. I am an aggressive advocate for human rights and improving the quality of life for all the people of Buffalo. I believe that I can do that while also being fiscally conservative with the people’s money.
Thank you for this opportunity to serve this great city!
