Little Sprouts in the Garden!

Sunflower with Bees

On June 7, 2022, Cara Hesse, City of Buffalo Water Superintendent, will be talking about the environment and how plants grow.  Buffalo Community Education preschoolers will help plant the vegetable garden that is located next to the Discovery Elementary tennis courts.  The food that is produced from these plants can be picked and used by whoever visits the garden.  Items that will be planted are cherry tomatoes, beans, peas herbs and sunflowers. Each preschooler will also plant a marigold in a peat pot to take home so that they can water and take care of the flower as it grows.

 Alternate/Rainout date will be Thursday, June 9, 2022, from 9:00 am – 10:00 am.
