Hwy 25 Detour Begins in Buffalo on July 13

Hwy 25 - Construction Spotlight

Those who travel on Highway 25 (South Lake Boulevard) in south Buffalo, Wright County, will encounter the road closed and detoured as a four-month reconstruction project begins on Thursday, July 13, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

The closure is necessary to allow the City of Buffalo, in partnership with MnDOT, to reconstruct Highway 25 (South Lake Boulevard) from First Street S to the curve north of Settlers Parkway. The project will update city utilities, pedestrian sidewalks, and approaches, and expand the community commons area along the lake.

Motorists will follow a signed detour along Settlers Parkway and Highway 55. Wright County Road 12 will also detour around the lake using Wright County Road 35. View detour map

Access will be maintained for those who live, work or visit; however, expect changes.

When complete in November, the project will provide a smoother road surface, updated drainage, and improved safety for travelers.
