In the year 2000, the
Buffalo Police Department partnered with the Wright County Sheriff’s
Department in a joint grant application to the State of Minnesota for funds
related to traffic safety through the Minnesota Safe & Sober Program.
The result of this grant application was a joint award of $2,000 to our
agencies. These funds were later
used to assist in the purchase of a speed reduction education trailer that can
be placed on roadways to alert drivers to the speed they are traveling.
The Buffalo Police
Department continues to work together with the Wright County Sheriff’s Office in
our efforts to concentrate on traffic safety and to promote the continued safety
of motorists in the City of Buffalo and Wright County.
