The Buffalo Police Department and the Buffalo Police Reserve Unit utilize Bicycle Patrol as a supplemental type of patrol activity for our community. Officers who are on a bicycle have a unique opportunity to communicate more directly with the public and they are capable of going into places where a regular police car can’t.
Police Bicycles are used for parades, fairs, patrolling city parks, and for a variety of other activities. If you get a chance, stop and speak to one of our officers on Bicycle Patrol and check out their specially designed bikes and equipment.
