Adopt-A-Park Program

Neighborhood Parks

Ice Skating:  The City of Buffalo maintains hockey rinks at Greenbriar Park, Lion’s Park, and Sundance Ridge Park.  (Greenbriar and Lion’s have lights and a warming house, while Sundance Ridge only has boards).

Pleasure rinks are located at Sturges Park (on Buffalo Lake), Shonhaugen, Pine Meadows, and Buffalo Hills.

You can also check out the Civic Center page on the City of Buffalo’s website for public skating opportunities at http://www.ci.buffalo.mn.us/ParksRec/Civicctr.htm or call 763-682-4132.

Other Winter Activities:

Sledding:  Try zooming down the hills at Buffalo Heights Golf Course, Prairie View Park, or Sturges Park.

Cross-Country Skiing:  Get your exercise at Wild Marsh Golf Course or any of our fine City Parks!

Golf:  Sorry, it’s hard to hit balls in the snow, but you can still get out in the snow and play disc golf at West Pulaski Park.

Ice Fishing:  After checking out ice depths and fishing reports, check out Lake Pulaski or Buffalo Lake.

Walking/Running:  Use one of many fine trails in Buffalo to get your winter exercise!

Check out Buffalo’s Community Education programs for winter offerings!
